Former WWE manager and ECW General Manager, Armando Estrada, tweeted that he came up with the idea of a 'Talking Smack' style show.
"In December 2011, I drove to a Smackdown taping in Indianapolis to have a meeting with Vince. Finally, after blowing me off for most of the day, we sat down in Gorilla before the taping and I pitched the idea for a show. At the time, WWE was looking for ideas to create content for this vision they wanted to call 'The Network'." He continued, "The show I pitched to Vince was a non-wrestling show that would allow talents that don't get much mic time, the opportunity to pseudo-shoot and help get them comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. The show I envisioned was titled 'Smack Talk' and I was to be the host. Vince smiled, said he liked the idea, shook my hand, [and] said thank you. I drive home to Chicago that night thinking I was on to something." He went on to say, "Little did I know I was about 5 years too early. RIP Talking Smack, you were a breath of fresh air!"
He tweeted, "True story I've never told. Enjoy! #TalkingSmack #WWE @WWE"
At this point there is no way to confirm this claim, as there is no evidence supporting it.

Earlier we reported that UFC's Vice President of Health and Performance indicated Brock Lesnar had not been re-entered into the USADA drug testing pool.
In an update, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer said he would not take these reports of Lesnar not resigning with WWE and returning to UFC seriously. Meltzer said he doesn't see Lesnar turning away "easy money" and that it is believed that WWE is a better long-term option at his age.
Meltzer also indicated that it is always possible for Lesnar to re-enter the testing pool and be ready to fight sometime early 2018, but Meltzer just doesn't see that happening since the Royal Rumble is around that time. He doesn't think anybody in WWE would allow Lesnar to risk injury that close to a major pay per view.

WWE has barely been able to break the three million viewer mark. Why is that and how can they fix it?
Here are three things that, in my opinion, will boost viewership:
1. Give Braun Strowman a HUGE push! Braun Strowman is by far the best thing WWE has going for Raw right now. If they put Strowman up against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, then they have a BLOCKBUSTER main event! If they push Strowman right, Raw will have great ratings. This rivalry could go for quite a few months.
2. Let Sami Zayn shine. Nobody can deny that Sami is a great in-ring performer. If Zayn had a good amount of work on his microphone skills, he would be main event talent. Mark my words, Sami is a future WWE or Universal Champion.
3. Turn Roman Reigns heel! Let's face it nobody gets a reaction like Roman Reigns. Hate him or love him. He is main event talent. Similar to Sami, he needs a lot of work on the microphone, but he is definetly over with fans. With all that said, his character lacks something. He's very bland, and you could even say a bit boring. A heel turn solves this problem. It would've been done better if he turned heel after retiring The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Fans already love to boo Roman Reigns, make him someone the crowd loves to hate. Raw could benefit from a mega heel.

According to MMAJunkie.com:
"The UFC’s anti-doping policy, which is administered by USADA, states that if a retired athlete wants to return to competition, they “must tell the UFC, in writing, that they want to start competing again. After notifying the UFC, they need to be available for testing for at least six months before returning to competition.” Recent reports indicated Lesnar had begun that process.
Reports of a UFC return kicked into high gear Tuesday after a tweet suggested Lesnar, the current WWE Universal Champion, was back in the USADA testing pool and would be dropping his title belt at next month’s “SummerSlam” pay-per-view. The social media buzz to follow was that Lesnar aimed for a November UFC return at the promotion’s expected Madison Square Garden event in New York.
The outlet continued,
However, UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky, who oversees the program, told MMAjunkie there is “zero truth” to those reports.
“(Lesnar) is not currently enrolled in the USADA testing pool, nor has there been any inquiry on his part to do so,” Novitzky said.
MMAjunkie attempted to reach USADA for comment but was unsuccessful."

According to WWE.com:
A helicopter carrying Shane McMahon made an emergency landing on July 19, 2017 in the Atlantic Ocean near Gilgo Beach on Long Island, N.Y.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the emergency landing occurred around 10:25 a.m. ET about a half-mile off shore.
The SmackDown LIVE Commissioner spoke with WWE.com after the incident to confirm he and his pilot were fine and escaped injuries from the landing. He explained that he was en route to visiting family on Eastern Long Island when the helicopter troubles started.
“I would like to thank our pilot, Mario, who did a heroic job of landing us safely in the water, the Suffolk County Marine Bureau who were first on the scene, all the lifeguards who came out to assist us and the Fire Island Coast Guard station,” he said.
McMahon reiterated that the WWE Universe shouldn’t worry and that he won’t need to step away from his SmackDown LIVE responsibilities.
“Everyone is safe and sound,” he said. “I look forward to seeing everyone at WWE Battleground in Philadelphia this Sunday.”
WWE Battleground airs Sunday at 8 P.M. on the WWE Network.
